Yo, yo! What is up, Konawaena? Ronald here, back with another movie review! Okay, let’s just get right into it. I attended the highly anticipated movie, Suicide Squad, on August 6th at the Makalapua Theaters, which was the day after the premiere.

The movie is about a woman, Amanda who is the “puppet master” of the squad. She brings the worst of the worst together, hoping they’ll do something good for mankind after committing so many crimes individually. (However, I must spill on something before I continue with this bewildering review. I was not a comic book fan, nor was I aware of who they all were… I only wanted to see this because the trailers were so intriguing, and it was a trending topic on Twitter, of course.) Members of the suicide squad is apart of the DC universe. It is the most recent addition to the DC movies, following Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The movie was alright to me. I felt as though the characters were brought together in a very unprofessional and lazy way. It just didn’t click for me… There was also an uneven execution of action and comedy. Of course, the movie did include all of those key elements… But it just wasn’t enough! I expected way more. However, I must admit that Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) was spectacular and sensational in every single way. She absolutely killed it, and she definitely made the movie for me. The first hour of the movie introduces all of the characters, their experiences in captivity, and flashbacks, which explain why they are the way they are. The second hour of the movie focuses on the overall conflict. I guess that if I were put into the movie critics shoes, I’d rate it a 5/10. The intensity and consistency of the movie were all over the place, but overall, it was fun to watch. I wouldn’t recommend it, keep in mind that this is coming from someone who did not read the comics or have any past knowledge of the villains in the m0vie.
