Halloween took place on a Monday, an unfortunate day for many who felt as though the spooky holiday was worthy of a day off for costumes and festivities. Leadership took it into their own hands to defeat the cloud of gloom over the students! In spirit of Halloween, a costume contest was held by the flag pole. Students strutted down the hall, while judges (Ms. Satta Ellis, Mr. Lee, and Mr. Ruff) rated their costumes.

Contestants had to do a catwalk, and was then forced to do the nae nae whip along with many other hysterical dances from pop culture. First place took home two free winter ball tickets, and those lucky winners were Juniors Jay and Lina who dressed up as Alfalfa and Darla! Second lace took home a $10 gift card to the school store, and those winners were Seniors Makoa Yoshida and Kaiya Lelewi. It was an amusing time to watch creatures perform such humorous dances, it definitely hyped up the students for the upcoming night of Halloween.
